Our mission

SumoScout exists to help founders, freelancers, and small teams make confident lifetime-deal decisions. We test every reviewed tool for at least 21 days on real work, score it against a published rubric, and publish the verdict — even when the verdict is "skip it."

Who we are

SumoScout was founded in 2024 by a small editorial team of long-time AppSumo buyers — software engineers, marketers, and indie hackers who were tired of recycled deal-page reviews. Today we are a remote team of three full-time reviewers and a network of trusted contributors.

We publish our complete methodology, scoring rubric, and corrections policy in our Editorial Policy. Affiliate relationships are disclosed in our Disclaimer. Privacy and advertising practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

How we make money

SumoScout is funded by a mix of affiliate commissions (when readers buy via our links) and on-page advertising via Google AdSense. Neither source influences our reviews — we publish negative verdicts on tools we are paid to promote whenever the product falls short.
